Nice car. You would buy it for the exhaust note alone. If you have the opportunity, take it out on the race track and really experience the car for what it was intended. Fellow competitors and spectators love the car. I used to have a silver one and it was very successful on the track - it does require serious commitment though!

That's kind of what happened. I was originally looking at S3s, I knew these were around but coz they're rarer and generally more expensive than the Audis' I wasn't looking to seriously at these.
Then this one came along and I took it for a test drive. Woah... The sound, the acceleration, those seats. Needless to say about a month or so later she was mine.

    Rear Aero Wiper

    Before:

    After:

Shiny aero wiper from MKV Golf and Polo.
Pretty easy mod. Spent about half an hour sanding the cap down on the bottom so it would clip in.

Thats very nice I must say, but are you sure that the wiper will sit properly on that rear window? The angle might be wrong and the wiper might skip across the surface. I hope this isn't the case though...

It sits perfectly on the rear window. It seems to be a pretty common mod by the guys on VWVortex. I backed the car out and ran the rear windscreen washer and wiper for about a minute. Cleans it easily. Because the blade bends inwards normally the spring tension in the arm pushes the blade down to sit flat on the windscreen.
As I said the cap is the only issue in terms of getting it to sit properly. It's about 4 or 5mm longer/taller than the MkIV cap and you need to sand/trim it back to get it to clip in properly.
Looking at Angeg's R32 further up, he's done the same mod as well by the looks of it. I thought about doing the rear wiper complete removal, but with all the rain we've been having lately, you really do need the rear wiper in those conditions as the spray the car kicks up makes visibility out the back pretty much impossible.
    Cheers

LOL Don't knock the dirty dub.
Wiping wise it hasn't made a difference. I think I've actually lost 5mm of my wiping arc. However aesthetically it looks so much better. If you look carefully at the before and after pic, the new Aero wiper arm covers the majority of the blade and sits nearly flush with the windscreen. Makes it look cleaner as it were. :p

Did the kvw100 mod this evening. Nice little unit. Big thanks to fuzion for getting me the unit.
Also got me a little wheel bling. I know they're pretty poxy but I thought why the hell not. Don't worry they don't glow in the dark, light up or anything, they're just metal. I wonder how long they'll last before some little **** steals them?
