So anyway I'm sick of playing games. Yes it's lower (by about 30mm).

    Take one of these:

Add one set of slightly used Koni Yellow Sport adjustables and some H&R Sports Springs and some nice H&R adjustable swaybars as below:

    And you get:

Looks pretty good and I can still get into my garage without scraping (grazes on the way out though, but only on the underside of the lip). Damping is much improved now and the handling is more neutral as opposed to bouncy bounce and understeer.

    Cheers,
    Trent

Yeah the bloke is a friend of Guy Harding's here in Brisbane. He put his R back to stock and traded it in down in Sydney (much better trade in price) and drove back in a brand new S3.
The suspension doesn't have too many kms on it and I agree it was a steal. I also picked up his BMC CDA and his stubby antenna all for a pretty damned good price. As he said he just wanted it gone as opposed to cluttering up his garage.
I believe Neil got his TST rear strut brace from him as well. Not sure who got his Haldex controller but I wish I had.
Top bloke and a big thanks to Guy for putting me onto him.
    Cheers,
    Trent

I called Heasman's last week and he informed me that VW Aust fit Mk4 R32s with Monroes to lower the price point here, apparently R32s had Bilstiens in UK

    Hmmm

I am now debating Koni Yellow with Eibach or Bilsteins shocks alone (obviously no lowering)

Yeah the stock shocks are Monroes. It's a US spec suspension package. It sits higher, the shocks are spongier and not matched to the springs and the swaybars are also not as thick/stiff as the European spec ones.
    Cheap ass idiots...
