transplanting from Auto to Manual in a 2000 VW Golf

    Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone has tried transplanting a manual gearbox into an existing Auto Golf,I understand that I will need stuff like the box, shifter and cables, brake and clutch peddles, possibly drive shafts?? flywheel and clutch assembly but what I'm most concerned about is the on board ECU is there any electronics that I must be careful of, my dad had done this on an old Mazda E 2000 van and early Pulsar so the mechanical side is no big issue but the electronics is, if there is any to deal with, we are just hoping for some heads up advice and cost estimates if anyone has any idea.

    Cheers Kyle.

Speak to Feenie as I believe he has everything from his 1.6L which can be used for a conversion
