Thanks for all the replies chaps. Nah i'm not selling the car, i'm buying one. A guy has his R32 for sale with 70,000kms on it for $28,000. At the end of the week if it doesn't sell he is trading it in. So if it doesn't sell i can offer him a grand more than what he's getting for the trade in price, and get a good buy .

Have you asked him what he's been offered and said that you're willing to pay a grand more? I know if it was my car i would happy if someone came and offered more, you could always ask for evidence of what he's been offered.

Have you been and had a look at it? Done a REVS check on the VIN?

I reckon you could get this for $25K, would be a bargain!

Just kidding, but its a bit brutal offering him a pathetic price just because it's getting traded... just do what's fair.

Although if he's in a hurry and going to trade it he may be happy to see it go either way.

Yeah i was going to end up offering him 25 for it, which i think is a fair enough price. He seems seriously urgent to get rid of it so i guess he would be happy with anything more than what the dealer will give him. I've just got to convince dad to buy it haha

Yeah, its been sitting there for a while, i think he started out with $33400, dropped to $31400 and now $28400!! Couldn't go wrong if it was $25K!!

It does suprise me how long the Mk4's sit there for sale.
