Glad to hear you're ok, nasty looking prang. My wife trashed our mazda 626 in 95 with the right front wheel & tyre ending up in the drivers foot well, 2 years in a whell chair later she got back on her feet.

You have had a lucky escape with this one. Enjoy the rest of your life...

Glad to see you are alright.

You'll be laughin' if you've got a missus (or anyone close enough...) free rubs! ''Where else can I rub, darling?'' hehehehe

Was it mentioned how fast the moron in the hilux was going? and was it one of those wanker drivers with bagged suspension and crap? If it was I think you should take him for everything he's got.

I just want to thank all of you who have left words of condolence and encouragement. I haven't been the most active member of this forum but have found it to be very useful and enjoyable. I'm sure I will continue to do so as well. Thank you again.

Update: I'm receiving physio treatment for my knee and it seems to be working. Insurance claim should be finalised today, I hope.

Here are a couple more photos.

That is crazy. Makes us all feel good to drive quality cars... but I worry about my fiancee as she drives an old Corolla with no bags, no abs and a bit of rust in the body. I think we'll ditch it when we get hitchd as we will be able to get by with one car.

Thanks for sharing Andy, keep us informed about your progress and be sure to tell us when you get some new wheels.

(P.S looks like there's a nice set of Montreal IIs there for someone lol)

That's the problem. It doesn't matter how good a driver you are, you can't control other drivers on the road. I've always known this, but nothing rams it home like being smashed into by some turkey running a red light!

I have two friends who drive older model cars that are now looking for newer and safer cars as a result of my accident.
