Timing belt change advice

CAR: MK4 golf 1.6l engine code AVU

I was wondering when changing the timing belt is it recommended to also change the water pump or is it necessary every time. Also in terms of the tool to lock the cam what is needed for a 1.6L engine with code AVU. I have the following kits from Sealey VSE 5851 and VSE5852 which display that engine code on the supported engines but I can’t see the tool to use or that would fit.
Also can anyone tell me the part numbers for the pump and belt kit with tensioners.

Genuine repair kit with belt and tensioner bearing should be 06A198119. Double check with a VW dealer giving them your vin number.
Water pump number is 06B121011L. The water pump does not come in the timing belt kit.

If you have no history of the water pump being replaced, just do it. The original equipment ones have a plastic impeller that splits and stops pumping the coolant.

Not sure about the tool number, but being a SOHC engine you may be able to get away with not locking the cam.
