Thicker oil advice please

So is 10W40 or 10W50 better for this car with this milage?

I'm using 10W50 lemon in my GTi, it's at around 150xxxkm's and seems to be fine, I flush and refill every 5-10,000km though.

for that golf 10w40 is fine as the engine doesnt get hot enough to need a 10w50 like a gti would..
RM86 what oil do you use in your gti ? semi of full synthetic ?
