    temp sensor sometimes works on mk4 1.6?

    hey guys wondering if its common problem with the temp sensor failing? cars done 132,000kms? and if its on its way out is it an easy fix?

    Yep temp sensor failing is a common fault (especially if it is the early black one). If you are handy mechanically you can do it yourself otherwise it is not a big job.

    Just had my coolant sender replaced as it was giving a false reading and preventing the engine from starting when engine was hot. That made the girlfriend happy.
