Sunroof problem! Need help!

I've got a sunroof leak! Owned the car for a year and never realized as park under cover, and never in the rain long enough to notice. Until I left my car out recently Not 100% sure where from. I have tried cleaning out the drainage outlets but the water just isn't coming out where it's supposed to. So i tried retubing it aswell. Didnt want to work. Has anyone else had this problem with there bora or other vw's? And where's a good place to fix it? (reasonably priced) thanks

If your 100% sure that you have checked and cut the ends off the drain pipe's and you definitely have water running out of them when you test then you may have a more serious water leak which is hard to fix as alot of work is involved if the roof trim has to come out for inspection. The roof trim is hard to come out and you may need to remove the windscreen to avoid damage!!! Also just want to know if you have replaced your aerial recently??? If there not done properly water leaks will occur sometimes.

First of all is it an OEM roof? I had an issue like this in my car but it was blocked drainage ports, I took it to someone and they said it was very unlikely to leak and likely to be blocked drains. So I had a length of wall plug at home and shoved it down the hole at both corners until it came out the bottom (with a whole pile of junk). Then poured water down them to ensure they were flowing. I'd try that first

So you said you have tried retubing them?

My sunroof frame snapped and I had it replaced with a second hand one at a wrecker - I see you are in Melbourne so if the issue persists worth a call

I had a swimming pool in my car once.
It sounds like your drain lines are not connected to the end grommets.
You can remove the whole rubber grommet in the front door frame and see if the hose is connected to the back of it correctly, or just hanging inside the car body.

I found the rear lines were not connected to the grommet, water was pooling in the back of the car.
And the front was blocked also.

If you squeeze the nipple gently and water starts to run out, it means there is a blockage.

To get to the rear drains you need to remove the panel to access the tail lights, the pipe is brown. Follow the pipe down it connects down low under the bumper. There are 4 lines in total one to each corner of the car.
