Check near the door hinges that the drain that is there hasn't been crushed or blocked. You should see a small tube sticking out. This often gets crushed causing water to bank up.
Over the weekend we had a few much needed showers in melbourne, unfortunatelly for me it seems that more of it ended up inside my car than inside the water tank (preffered option). Now for a bit of background i have noticed that after rain, car wash etc. when i open the sunroof there seems to be some water just below the seal at the front of the sunroof, where the plastic frame (? sorry no idea what these things are called) folds into when the roof is fully closed and springs up from when you open it.
Having spoken to a few people it seems to me that this is normal as the seal is not suppposed to be water tight (or so ive been informed) and that there are some channels that the water should escape from. Upon closer inspection i have noticed what could be channels on both sides of the sunroof, but then again they could be something that is totally irrelevent to my issue..
Now my question is basically when you guys open your sunroofs is there any water in there and if there is does anyone know where its supposed to go?? And if theres isn't does anyone know where i can get a new seal?? Roof, Roof... sorry that was real stupid..
thanks

if you open the sunroof and look there should be drain holes in the corners. get your mechanic to go at them with some compressed air
hey Neil, I just found a rubbery, spouty looking thing near the hinge and played around with it a bit and WALLA out comes like a fingernails worth of gunk and then about half a litre of dirty water.. Thanks heaps mate, i will be checking that more often now, but as it seems we have found and fixed the problem we probably wont get any rain in melbourne for the next few months.. or maybe at least untill i wash my car next.. sorry farmers..
