Stupid horn does not work unless key is turned ON!

so true, anyone know why? most other car brands horns work without the keys dont they?

Toyota, mazda, mitsubishi all do. Well the ones I've owned anyway.

i feel your pain. had someone reverse into me whilst i was sitting there with the car off trying to honk them. good to hear theres no real damage though.
try keeping a air horn in your cup holder next time
