I would think so, you can not hear the carbon canister solenoid ticking as your driving.
Damn, I didn't hear any ticking this morning but was driving in traffic so no real chance to see if it was still there. I'll listen for it again on the way home. It's so confusing because it sounds a leaf stuck between wheel spokes or something but there is nothing anywhere near the wheels on that side of the car

Yeah something like that!! LOL!!
Not really sure mate, I thought it may have been a wheel bearing etc. I had Adam @ V A Garage check all that and said it was fine? I've had the wheels off that many times and I haven't noticed anything visually obvious. Pretty sure there still is a VAC leak curtousy of P&P
I also have a strut bearing on the drivers side that sounds sus (clicking noise when i turn the wheel L & R) & I need to do the brakes.. Fun times!
Yep, Erin has VAGCOM cable and current copy of VCDS so can do a scan if something else is playing up?
Haha likewise!
Yeah I thought I would have noticed something when pulling the wheels off if there was anything wrong. But alas no evidence of any such things. I have thought it could be a looseish brake pad or something strange though. Or a rock/twig caught between pad and rotor :S
But I thought it would have been making more noise than just a clicking thingo...
I get a click/clunk when I turn the wheel hard/sharp at speed (only seems to be when turning left though).
I'll have to pop over sometime to do a scan, as I think there will be a few things iffy and I wanna know what they are so I can sort them out next time I take the car in for work/service.

Blown wheel bearings can make a "ticking" noise when there stuffed. Could be worth checking it out.
