    A Strange Happening For My R32

    Hi all! Yesterday i was driving along stopped a set of lights.....****! i cant get a gear found fourth manage toget car over to side of road.This is strange wont select! anyway lifted up bonnet **** oil everywhereoil cap had come of....HOW and WHY did that happen? i always make sure everything is tight!....The oil cap i found caught up where the selector linkage wasAnyways everything was ok and of course i cleaned the engine when i got home.

    Has anyone else have,had this prob? I know i screwed that cap on tight

    Jeez, that sounds weird mate, I guess you're lucky the oil cap got caught up with the gear selector linkage which gave you an early warning something wasn't right and caused you to have a look. It could possibly have ended in tears without that happening, or at least some serious smoke and scaring the #@$% out of you.

    hi snowy! m8 weird one alright....to be honest i thought the gearbox was broken not getting gears! and for the oil could of been a bad day

    The cap is a tight fit! Iam a little paranoid about it at the moment

    Geez mate that's not good at all. With the new R8 cap in mine, I'm checking it quite regularly for the first few months to make sure it stays tight and sealed.

    That is weird !

    My guess is somehow it didn't tighten up when you put it back on or there was a great build up of pressure ?

    Anyways lucky one !
