Also picked up some shims a couple of weeks ago. Just an extra degree each side. Just for looks. Not even sure of you'll notice just 1 degree? Anyone done this job before? I've read a bit about it on the vortex and they say that it's easy if you get an offset wrench. Which I got as well. Also when I do it I will try and align my beam if I can...... One side sticks out an extra nearly 10mm I reckon!

same as what i had installed.
i didnt have access to tools at the time so just let my alignment guys do it.
you can definitely see the extra deg, problem is as the mk4 beam rolls forward it turns into toe in too.

my beam was like 6-7mm more towards the passenger side, pushed it over 3mm and its near perfect. I do however scrub out my rear passenger tyre a bit quicker. Will get my new alignment guy to try straighten it up when I have my next alignment after drop plates and TT spindles

One for special occasion’s… haha nice. Yeah I know what you mean. mines dropped a shade or two from the sun or whatever over time and it’d be nice to have it all fresh and looking the same. Shims will be good... that extra degree = more scene points

The old girl is still kicking as my daily. Just clocked over 165k's. Still going strong and still gets a few looks. Poor thing really needs a good polish.... Building a new house which will be finished in august and soon it will after 8 years of being outside have its own garage.

NICE man! Ive got the similar shims pair of -1 camber and 0.50 Toes with the specialty tool.
Do you know how much they usually charge to fit them?

Haha, I never really wanted to sell it. And I will probably only sell it if I get offered a ridiculous amount. . .

I have a love hate relationship with it. Sometimes I just want to get rid of it. but then other times I want to spend money on it. Poor thing badly needs its brakes looking at... I probably drive it 4k's a week.
