Something hitting shaft between CV and gear box

Took my car in for a wheel alignment today and the mechanic informed me that something is knocking on the shaft between the cv joint and the gear box on the drivers side. When i purchased the car 3 months ago it already had pedders sports rider shocks and lowered springs fitted. I have noticed a knock every now and then when you hit a large bump but i just thought it was the bump stops. Anyone got and idea of what it could be?

The driveshaft can hit the swaybar if its pretty low.

My guess too. You can buy longer links for the anti roll bar to prevent it.

Yeah probably have a look at it before it hits the gear box and punches a hole through it...

um it wont, the sway bar cant put a hole in the gearbox, and the longer links are crap much better off with a proper swaybar with the extra clearance, i tryed the longer like with my old gti and found its just the small bend it the std swaybar is way to tight, get a H&R or neuspeed or a whiteline

A vast difference in price though surely. Certainly less effort to fit.

yeah for sure less $$ but its still does not fix the rubbing noise, swaybar if you have lowered it say on coilovers.
