unless you get the right price for it, keep it.
I recon upgrade to a E46 M3, love those things
or stay VAG and get an R32.
i'd prefer the M3, but don't tell anyone
VW: it aint just a car, its a way of life
There are few things more satisfying in life than finding a solution to a problem and implementing it

What’s behind you doesn’t matter..
sell it and start again bro!!!
R32 turbo i think!
The only person that can make that decision if you unfortunately & I'm sure its a pain in the bum to make too, as I've had to go through the same thing.
I see what goes on with the latest Vw's & I'll reserve my opinions of them on here (you've heard it all though! haha)
In a perfect world, I'd like to see you keep this car, as I'm sure it will keep getting better & better (even though it is pretty bloody nice as it is!) & also have a newer car for some fun.
Keep it man

Polish it up and stick it on the shelf. Onto the next project.
Don't sell it !! Seriously what would you get for it ? If you do let it go in its current state I bet you end up seeing it again with LED tail light or something equally lame. I don't want to see the nicest mk4 in Aus go down that way
You won't get much for it, but you'll get nothing while it's sitting in your garage.
I've toyed with the idea of selling mine.. But now everytime I drive it it makes me smile and I can't do it lol
Yeah as suggested earlier in this thread - I'd definitely get a 1-3k daily (you know, the type you CAN park in a crowded shopping centre car park and have zero stress about it) because the golf will feel twice as strong, far quicker and make you grin even more when you get back into it after 3 or 4 days with the s**t bomb.
Your mk4 is one of the best I've seen - seen it on the 'other' forum for years and always liked the look of it.
Unless you have a 911 GT3, F40 etc I don't see the point of having a 'daily'. At the end of the day it's still a Golf. Either drive it around and enjoy it, sell it and move on, keep it as a daily and build something else like a dedicated track car.
