I would not be upset about the clutch but what happened to the gearbox?
Given that you've paid $4.5k there, you would assume those components are good for another long run
What is the condition of the engine and brakes and wheel bearings?
I assume you will be up for discs/pads and maybe wheel bearings
Also factor in a major engine service ($1K?)
Or put all that money towards upgrading?
I can be tricky to determine when a car is no longer economic
It's costly when you fail to assess this or get it wrong
