    ive got a mate with an old carolla with about the shortest shifter ive ever seen- its about 3 inches long- but it sure throws faster than anything ive been in.

    bout time to get one i think!

    Do you guys find the notchyness (is that even a word?!) annoying/distracting?
    Is it even as pronounced as some say, or is it more car centric?

    you can also get a dieselgeek but they are around US$280 ex USA, offering a 30% shorter throw both front to back and side to side.

    I would say it was 'clicky' rather than notchy, but still so much better than standard

    sorry 2 hi-jack this thread but while we on the subject of SS kits in particular dieselgeeks any of you know where i can get a kit for an early mk4 as dieselgeeks seems to have stopped production of kits for the post 2000 mk4's
