Not that any of you are thinking of it (who does?) but they are basically a one-time fit option. What i mean by that is that the alloy that Jim from DG uses is awesome but soft enough to burr and dint as you tighten the shifter ends around the shifter cable. The shifter cables have the appearance of being threaded (its not really a thread) so that the OEM shifter end can grip and stay on the cable. So the inside of the shifter end that accepts the cable starts out life as being all nice and smooth, but once it is tightened it engrains the thread of the cable, and becomes very hard to pull off again.

I fitted my DG SS to my Mk5 TDI for about 6 mths and then took it off to install on my Bora, and it was simply sheer luck that I was able to re-fit it (after getting 2 blokes to have a crack at pulling it off the TDI). Somehow by luck it went on in the exact right place for adjustment too, so i absolutely fluked it.

I have two pork-hands and was stil able to fit it. If i can, anyone can. Save your $100 and have a crack yourself.

i have the HPA front to back and side to side and its the best mod so far. its set to 40% reduction and it took awhile to get used to it but once i did i loved it. It was really easy to install and it came with proper instructions

Is the HPA a straight fit (no grinding), also is it alloy and how much did it set you back?

    Cheers

Hmmm, So does anyone tried the ecs one? Im thinking about the diesel geek one since so many of you reconmend it but since im allready ordering from ecs it will cut down on shipping costs.
