Service Code 2900

Hi Guys

Just noticed this code this morning. Any one know what it is for. It comes up when i tunr the ignition on.

I did a quick search i couldnt find anything.

Probably, mine just started the countdown from 'Service due in 3000km' as well... Just ignore it for a while longer although it will end up telling you the service is due before you've actually done 3000 I bet

I have only had the car for a few months and i wasnt sure what it meant. It through me a bit the car has just clocked over 85k and the next service is only due at 90k.

I thought it was a bit strange.

The car calculates the service intervals based on the number of km between resets of the service clock (there's a procedure to reset the counter at service time) rather than on an absolute km value. That way, if someone services their car early (for sale, for instance), the car won't (necessarily) go too long between services.
