    I went with these..

    Philips Lighting Australia - X-tremeVision - Philips

At first I didn't rate them, but now I think they are the best halogen globe going around.

They are a whiter colour than normal halogens, and seriously they give my high beams a run for their money.

Highly recommended. Cheap if ordered from the UK.

In saying that I installed 3000 or 4000k HIDs in my toyota soarer when I had it, and they were just insanly good!

The OP should source some OEM r32 projector headlights if they were to go the HID route.

Re: Saw these today > H4 retrofit projector lights.

I found a website on vwvortex ages ago that specializes in retrofitting projectors into your stock housing....I forget what it was called but a guy told me he payed like 700 for his shipped to the UK.

I tried halogen globes and didn't like them at all. I run 50w ballasts woth 5000k globes now with reflectors and I haven't had a single problem and nobody has ever high beamed me for blinding them. Just do whatever you wanna do man

there are some decent sets on eBay. I'll try find a link for the set of HID i bought a while back. Same as SLAJ, no problems with anyone and since passed a roadworthy ignore the guys that persistently point out the legality, done properly you won't have any issues. Just make sure you angle them properly. HID have a far superior light output anyway so ignoring the legality side, they are the better lights.
