safe boost levels on a stock AGU

Just curious to see who has upped the boost on their stock AGU engine to a safe level? Ie: how far above standard boost? I've searched the system at work and I can't even find what boost they run from the factory. Let alone safe boost levels on a stock engine.. regards brodie

Up to a BAR is pretty normal on a chipped car, around half of that for a standard one.

So if I chip it 14 psi is safe.. other wise 7 psi for a completely stock engine.. how much boost do they run from the factory?

If you chip it, you get what the tuner writes into the software. There won't be a choice.

No tuner worth his salt is going to request too much boost. The Golf 4 GTI has been around for ages now and they are rock solid.

A standard one would be running 7-8PSI.
