I was wanting to know what the letters at the end of the part number were. I can get a file written for your ECU with the KO4 if/whenever you need it. To get it spot on though will need the LM1 and data logging doing.
Might be worth you hunting down another ECU if you can get one cheap enough, recoding the immob is easy enough.
Having that socket taken out is a bonus.

I had a chance to have a bit of a play with the car today.............. I changed the maf housing back to the original size on the advice of the supplier of the tune to see if it fixed the issue and noticed that it now runs very rich. Now the manufacturer of the software tells me they have no K04 file for an cable throttle AGU except for their standard upgrade tune and this got me thinking that maybe this is all i have and the larger maf housing was canceling out the larger injectors i was using ???? Anyone in the know think im onto something ? or am i just showing how little i know about VAG ecu's ....

Like the others said, check both ignition and fuel.
Hang in there as frustrating as it may be.
