Well - after a lot of procrastination, I finally gave my car a much needed wash, clay, polish and wax.
I spent all day doing it but I'm not entirely happy with the results. I ran out of time so I rushed it off towards then end but I'll have another crack at it soon to work more on those swirl marks.
Clay is my new friend. It truely transforms the finish. My car feels as smooth as a babys bum now - well the parts i did any way. The Meguires polish I used is a bit rubbish IMO, but it's very easy to use. It'd be good for that quick polish before a show but to really work on those swirls you need something a bit more abrasive.
I'll get some shots of the car tomorrow at the BBQ. I also get to show off it's new stance and exhaust
its good stuff itsnt it, if i have time i'll swing by home (im house sitting atm) and grab some polish and stuff and if its not raining try a couple of things when we stop for lunch.
looks great bro...exhaust look mega!

That's great mate, what are you using for lube with the clay? Try Meguiars Quik Detailer if you haven't already. Just make sure if you drop the clay on the ground, chuck it out, don't try using it again.
Also, are you finishing up with "wax"? Because "polish" won't protect your paint. You probably already know this.
Snowy.
