    Roof bars

Anyone got any experience / suggestions for the best roof bars to suit a Mk 4.

I'm after a low profile one rather than the Thule one's that sit quite high. Has anyone out there used Rhino or Whispbar bars or any other suggestions. It's for a kayak / single bike mount.

Didn't realise VW made them. Are they rebranded ? (Our Subaru Forester's racks are Subaru / made by Rola)

Been doing a small amount of research after posting earlier and it seems the lowest profile are Whispbar which seems to be the same as Prorack and something like Yamina ?

    Thanks for the tip.

    Yakima make whispbar.
I have rhino bars for the mk4 and whispbar on mk5.
    Whispbar is noticeably quieter.
Rhino footing has also marked the paint, you can see writing etched into my roof.
    MK4 GTI - Sold
    MK5 Jetta Turbo - Sold
    MK5 Jetta 2.Slow - Until it dies.

    Brilliant...thanks.

Think I'll chase up Whispbar Flush bars based on this. The car's had racks previously because the footings have marked the roof and I can't get it out. Hopefully the footprint of the new bars will cover the old one !!

    Thanks everyone.
