Good luck finding a hole for it.

Seriously, unless you're into moulding new dash trims and making brackets, I can't see it happening.

That's the Touareg version. Way different to the one normally seen in Golfs, Tiguans, Passats, etc...

    thanks guys
the Touareg version seems easier to fit in since its square on the corners and not rounded like the other
ive looked at a couple of others it doesnt seem that hard so ill start looking at getting my hands on a Touareg RNS 510 unit

Let us know how you get on. I've got an RCD300 out of a Touareg that might find it's way into my partner's MK4. If not, I'll sell it.

Is that a MK5 R32 Wheel in the picture !!

Would it not be easier to go Alpine or something similar or are you after OEM stuff.

Yes the MkVI wheel looks nicer and has buttons on it, but in my opinion the MkIV R wheel is superior as it has a much thicker rim. A fat wheel triumphs all when it comes to looks I reckon.
The issue with fitting an RNS system or any sound system or device is that from the MkV onwards everything runs on the CAN-Bus communications protocol whereas the MkIV ran predominantly on OBDII with a few systems running on CAN-Bus. Getting the whole lot to talk to each other is the real problem. Making them fit and wiring them in is the easy part.
    Cheers,
