    Hi fellas,

Does anyone here know how to get a key fob replacement for 2004 mk4 GTI (2buttons) apart from getting it from stealership?

Also looking for OEM center armrest.. (if anyone here know how to get them)

    Thanks

I've seen the arm rests on ebay:

You can order keyfobs from here :

    http://www.vagproducts.co.uk/keyfob.html

Just make sure it's compatible with your car. I was quoted 55 pounds delivered to Melbourne, which is roughly $115.00

Bear in mind, you'll still have to take it to the dealer to have it programmed to your car.

I have an armrest if you like, it's yours if you want it.
It's the same as that ebay link there, but I wasn't too impressed with it. Seeing as you're in Box Hill, i'm not far away in Blackburn either, i'd just need to pull it out of the garage.

As far as the keyfob is concerned, you'd need to get the part number from inside the transponder section and order one. Unfortunately my key didn't have the part number there, so I got reamed and bought one from the stealer for 400 bucks or something ridiculous!

I have a spare, uncut key and transponder here, part number HLO 1J0 959 753 CT if anyone is after one with that part...

I would be very careful when buying key fobs from O/S, there has been a lot of discussion on this in other threads here on the forums, it might pay you to have a bit of a read first before buying. I ended up biting the bullet and purchased a new one from the dealer for a MK V TDI, it cost $385 which isn't cheap, but that was a 3 button and included reprogramming of both remotes as well. At least if you order it from the dealer you're guaranteed it will work properly without too much messing around. I would think the MK IV one should be a little cheaper.
