    Recovering headliner DIY

hi i did a nice interior mod really changed the way it feels inside, and because i havnt seen many people do i thought id let you know how it turns out.

Although i didnt get any pictures to remove headliner you take screws out all the interior bulbs and visors and the front a pillas just pop off and the middle ones you need to take the seatbelt off with a bolt.
the rear ones same again take the seatbelt off.

so i did mine in crushed purple and painted all the bits cream
start by cutting fabric bigger that the item your covering and glue it with Copydex. dont use spray as it sags in heat.
then use a staple gun to tack it behind and stretch it tight.

give your parts 3 coats of your colour

    then final result is this

    I like it.

Our 1.6L needs some love in the roof lining department

    • Did you just rip off the old fabric or did you apply over the old fabric?
    • Where did you buy the copydex? and how much did you need to buy for the job?
    • How did you apply the codydex on, just smear it on with a spatula?
