Where are you?
Okay, well yesterday I went out and bought some Textar pads since my current rear pads are pretty much gone on my MK4 Golf 1.8.
Me and a mate, took apart the wheel etc. Unbolted the caliper, and took the old pads out.
Then came the point where the piston had to be pushed back in, to make room for the new pads. We didn't have the special tool, so we used a pair of needle nose pliers and some pressure to push them in. The piston would turn clockwise but it didn't go in, not even a millimeter
So we turned it anti-clockwise, to see if it even turns outward, in which it did, but then when we tried to turn it clockwise again to push it back in, it would go back to its original state, but from there on, it refuses to go inside.
But NOW... that piston is leaking brake fluid, it seems to be coming from around the rubber seal surrounding the piston
So... we left that as it was, and gave the other piston ago (passenger rear brakes), and SAME BLOODY SH#T. Except that one isn't leaking fluid.
Now everytime I try to press the brake pedal, it goes all the way in and there is absolutely no braking power - can't stop at all.
I was thinking of getting a tow, and have it moved to a brakes garage, but if I can sus out what to do from here with the help of you guys, I could probably just do it at home and save the extra labour cost.. and tow cost.
Sigh. Thanks in advance.

I am in Craigieburn VIC!
Hmmm bit too far away or I'd offer to pop by and wind it in.
In your situation I'd probably go out and buy the proper wind back tool (~$60-$100) or call a mobile brake mechanic. Either way will probably be cheaper than the tow truck.
There's a shop called FJs discount tools that I know usually stocks the kit, nearest store to you would be the one in Alphington.

I've called Lube Mobile, to come push the pistons back in tomorrow morning. But pushing these back in, will it stop the leaking of the fluid in one of them?
So long as the seals haven't been damaged it'll be OK. System will need to be bled properly though.

I had a similar problem with a set of rears, the pistons were too far out. I removed the calipers and opened the bleed valves, they went back in square and leak free with minimal effort off the car.
