Aslong as it goes through the cat they'll only bother you about the sound - No big deal.

So if you installed a downpipe without the cat, would it throw off codes?
Or just as long as both the O2 sensors are put back in the pipe work all should be OK?

How much extra power does smashing the insides of the cat out give you? I did it in my last commodore VN (bucket or s@#t mind you). Toxic stuff!

It can do, the 2 probes are there for a reason. Some tuners can write the 2nd probe out of the code so the ECU doesn't know it should monitor it.

    Now I have a dilema...

I have just purchased the following 2.5" stainless dump pipe from www.meganracing.com

    http://www.meganracing.com/products/...d=264&catid=22

But it appears to be one peice and looks to have a resonator but no cat.
It has two positions for the 02 sensors, and the one in the resonator seems to be raised. Does this assist in not making the CEL Codes appear? I have heared that because it is at a different position, it get less air and keeps everything in check, so no codes. Any thoughts...

Or should I just get it attached to the existing Cat to save any future isses?

Guys overseas are having all sorts of problems when fitting hi-flo cats. CEL comes on for some reason.

Havent heard any issues but im out of the loop a bit now guys so it could be possible im sure you could over come it as its resistances and voltage varainces that the computer reads. It can be tricked im sure. Position doesnt matter, but the post probe might be the issue im sure. You have my attention now gents, im keen to here new stuff.
    Cheers guys
