Cheers for the info and a great help posting the links, saves all the hunting down the dark alleyways of the web.
Look forward to feeling how different that clutch will be, might be a bit more aggressive.
Probably will find the thing will spool up quicker too.

well i currently Run a Eurospec G60 clutch and flywheel combo Flywheel wieght is 14lbs. The clutch is o sooo smooth really soft and best of all its a high performance clutch. So currently not a problem for my 220HP At wheel GTI, but should come in handy if i indeed wanted to go to K04 or GT28RS kit. But it was not cheap bought here in NZ the clutch kit here was around $1895+GST.

but cannot be more happy in anyway.

My Girlfriends car, which comes from hitmanR32. He installed a VR6 SMF clutch kit. Now he did that as he needed it to work with the chipped car.

He liked the clutch kit.
I personally do not like the kit i find it very heavy and spongy in comparison to that of the Eurospec clutch kit.

Also these kits where not available at the time of purchase for him ,hence his only choice was to use the VR6 clutch kit.

Clutch Kit arrived today, all good!

Now the wait begins to get it installed...

...while I am at it I am going to get some worn CV Boots replaced with Genuine VW CV Boot Kits.

Ok, so a HUGE thumbs up for Jimmy!
His workmanship is second to none, infact; it is the little things that he does that makes his workmanship top notch!

The clutch is fabulous, the feel, the progression just awesome!

Interesting to see the condition of the worn clutch, DMF and pressure plate. There were cracks galore!

Can't wait to put a few more Kms on it and feel just how good it really is.

With the SMF, the car spools up heaps quicker and the engine does not labour as much; say when doing 80km in 5th heading up a hill.
Just holds the speed, no drop off. Very impressed.

The pedal feel is light and accurate. No complaints and no strange noises, chatter etc.
