    R32 Redline gearbox oil

I want to replace my gearbox oil in the R32 with redline oil but im not sure which oil to use. The car has a short shifter installed.

    Any recommendations?

I've used Redline MT90 in my GTI. It has made a very noticeable difference.

I know my gearbox cannot use GL-5 standard, that rules out the Redline MTL.

Speaking with my mechanic about the oil yesterday and he says Castrol Syntrax is pretty decent too.

Any reason for the redline? I'm about to do a full fluids flush on the bora including gearbox, rear diff, haldex and steering fluid (Don't need to but cant hurt right) But im thinking either FUCHS (apparently this is what vw in Germany use as standard) or the genuine stuff. Just wondering if you've heard better about redline?

Can vouch for Castrol Syntrax and Redline (used both products for street and competition) You can find good feedback on Redline on other forums. FUCHS products are also well regarded.
Best to follow what is reccomended in your manual/handbook with regards to the GL ratings, etc

I have used Redline lightweight shockproof previously and thinking of going back.. I found it made dramatic imporvements on the GB shifting. When I had the clutch replaced I am not sure what went in but I can feel a difference, now considering lube change as well.
