With the flies, can you get at them by removing the bulbs and vacuuming? Or are they in the sealed off bits?

Im not sure what the hid's look like but not sure whether it is like a normal system where the lamp comes out and you can get into the actual housing. I think with HID's it may be totally sealed. Though you may be able to remove one of the other lamps like indicators etc. to get into the actual housing.

    Hi Swallowtail,

I am not sure if I could take the flies out with vacumm cleaner
can reach, without taking out the bumper right?

anyway, the flies are right at the lens, like just one layer behind the front where u could see them but can't catch them.
    LOL!

Yes to get the headlights out you need to remove the front bumper as there is two torx screws to get to behind it. Pulling the bumper off isn't too hard though. Once you've done it enough it becomes just something you have to do. As for pulling the lights apart, I think they can be disassembled enough for you to get the flies out with a chisel vacuum tool at least.

Reflashing to a GIAC s/w fixed the issue up for me.

    Something to consider?
So after chatting to you Tom i spoke to the guy i bought my car off and apparently it has been GIAC chipped as you suggested.

So is the flatspot in my driving style then?

I know nothing about the chipping process. Is there a chance it can be reset and not be 'working' now?

The only way for that to happen would be for it to have been flashed over.
    They can't unchip themselves.
