Well Thanks for clearing up, looks like we might have to get 3rd party flash to fix the flat spot?

As for the flies in the lens, yeah right! in the first place how did it get in there, cause it was meant to be sealed! But car was sold like this to me, looks like most of the time, u just cannot depend on others to get things done.

But I was just highlighting how ignorant the techs at the VW dealers are in Aus. (well not all of them, i have heard of good ones). Or maybe because it is under warranty, so they are just trained/taught to not do anything which will cause the company more money. So wait till warranty is out, or if you make a really big fuzz, then serve you. (but i have an extended warranty for 3 years)

Anyway, giving it another try when they are installing the HID to make sure the light lens is sealed and dead flies removed. else DIY!

Friends also recommend me to bring it over to places like volks power to have the car checked, and get the dealer to fix everything up before I totally disband from them. (like "am not going back there for service")

Sorry about the whinning guys, please forgive me.

With the flies, can you get at them by removing the bulbs and vacuuming? Or are they in the sealed off bits?

Im not sure what the hid's look like but not sure whether it is like a normal system where the lamp comes out and you can get into the actual housing. I think with HID's it may be totally sealed. Though you may be able to remove one of the other lamps like indicators etc. to get into the actual housing.

    Hi Swallowtail,

I am not sure if I could take the flies out with vacumm cleaner
can reach, without taking out the bumper right?

anyway, the flies are right at the lens, like just one layer behind the front where u could see them but can't catch them.
    LOL!

Yes to get the headlights out you need to remove the front bumper as there is two torx screws to get to behind it. Pulling the bumper off isn't too hard though. Once you've done it enough it becomes just something you have to do. As for pulling the lights apart, I think they can be disassembled enough for you to get the flies out with a chisel vacuum tool at least.
    Cheers,
    Trent
