I kind of disagree with this statement, you need to show me dB readings to believe you ; and exhaust NEVER settles in , unless there are leaks that get filled with gunk

I've had it happen myself in other cars. Its not necessarily a volume thing but rather the "tinnyness" seems to go away (and the tone can deepen slightly) once the inside of the exhaust gets a coating of soot/particulate matter.
    Nothing to see here...

Video of the change. Had a play last night and I think, I will be putting the centre resonator back in but leave the pancake muffler off. I mean it does sound nice with resonator out but I just cant get the volume down enough to make it drivable everyday like that and I don't like the way it sounds with the flapper closed, so far, heh maybe with a race car !

I forgot to add, with the exhaust open and the resonator off, you can really hear the second cam kick in around 4,3 or so the usual VR sound dissipates and it becomes a lot quieter Funny how the timing changes the noise...

Where would be the best place to take vacuum from for the R32 system ? Does anyone have a Diagram ? I am going to take vacuum from a reservoir and pipe it into an electronic solenoid that I will wire a switch to which will than go into the valve at the back. But I am not entirely sure where would be the best place to grab vacuum from... Anyone got a picture of where it comes out on a mkiv r32 ?

On the R32 there is a one way valve that is running off the inlet manifold at the back of the engine.

Ok, so it sucks only into the manifold but the valve closes on lose of vacuum or engine power.

Do you have a picture of this ?

I believe it is due to an exhaust being new and the welds and internals of the muffler etc never having been exposed to a car actually running. I doubt there will ever be a dramatic change over time unless as you say there is an actual problem with the exhaust.

I know with my exhaust it has changed with time and you could actually smell stuff burning off etc over the first few hundred kilometers. As with most things mechanical they need to "bed in" so to speak.

The other cool thing my exhaust does is that when it heats up whilst driving the tips actually protrude further from the front bumper. When it cools back down they go back in. Not sure how it works exactly but it's wicked.

    Cheers,
    Trent

When Metal heats up it expands and contracts when cooled

    Yep I know that much.
However my tips come out nearly an inch or so which is more than expected but is definitely extra cool.
    Cheers,
