Question about front headlights

Hi all,

Just wondering if all Golfs came out with the adjustable light leveling (where you can move the light beam up and down) or you needed to get the leveling motor kit?

Can anyone shed some light?

And if you were to get another pair, are you able to use the leveling motor with the aftermarket ones ?

Apparently its a relativly Easy conversion they sell the kits on ECS tuning..

just buy the rheostat switch and the motors and run the wiring and your away laughing.

if you get aftermarket head lamps

disconnect and twist and remove your motors out of your genuine head lights and refit them they same way in reverse in to your aftermarket head lamps.

they after market one should have a silly little non adjustable fitting in it that can be easily removed..

GTI's come with the levelling switch / motor.
Not sure about the lesser models though.

with reguards to aftermarket lights the GTI leveling motors will not fit in most of them. Need to buy the correct one for the manufacturer of your aftermarket lights.
