Was the ecu/battery disconnected for a significant period of time? If so, the auto probably has to re-learn the shift points etc. that it was familiar with before.
The other day my girlfriend got her car serviced. all was fine with the auto beforehand. after the service (brakes, oils, filters, rocker cover gasket) the car now shifts way higher than it used to. it now upshifts at around 4000rpm+ instead of 3000 where it used to.
Any ideas what's happened??
any replies much appreciated... thanks.

It has a few programs that it can run on.
Economy, Sport, Alpine. They can be set in VAG Com.
Maybe the battery has been off, or someone has tinkered with the VAGCom settings.
I can sort it for you if you want.
