    yeah, that's very good of them. Who'd have thought one query from australia would prompt them into refreshing their part photos...

    Yep, it gives me the confidence I wanted to install these parts in my car. I now know I did get what I thought I ordered, ....a VW part in a different box, the same part that VW could be selling over the counter at any dealership, except then in a VW branded box.

    So guys, order your Timing Belt kits from ECS with confidence!!

    For me this also highlights the fact that while resources like internet forums are good to search for info, beware of people getting caught up in rumours etc and spreading Urban Myth. While looking at the issue of tensioner failures on other forums, I read a lot of posts alluding to Chinese copied and substituted parts etc, and I feel comfortable now that in this particular case at least, that is not true at all.
