The wheels took less than two weeks to arrive. Very impressed with how smoothly it all went.

It won't be easy going any lower in the front. I'll post pics later of where the tyres from my Oettinger 17s were rubbing... and it's much worse now with the 19s.

Doesn't scare me though. I've got some ideas

Here's a close up view of the tyre tuck from side on:

Oh yeah nice man! That's sweet. No need to go any lower than that.

You've got me looking at wheel+tyre package from tirerack.com now! Have you got a run down of the prices? i.e. wheels, tyres, freight, customs, taxes etc.

Freight charge was US$315. Customs + taxes was around A$370. Your bank will also charge you ~$30 for international bank wire transfer. Still ends up cheaper than buying locally, and you get a great selection of wheels and tyres to choose from.

I believe you can avoid most of the customs/taxes fees if you split up your shipment into two parts so they're valued at less than $1,000 each. But then you would be paying more for shipping... so may not be worth the hassle.

Be quick if you're keen, the Aussie dollar is starting to slide a bit! I made my order when it was at 0.96

Thanks mate, I appreciate that. I didn't realise it had dropped back to 90 cents already. Bloody 'ell!

Now to find a wheel I really like... BBS LMs are way too much

Ok I can't help myself, the car is going even lower this weekend lol

To help make this happen i'm going to change the tyres to 215/35/19s from the 235/35/19s that are on it now.

If anyone is in the market for some brand new quality tyres for their 19s let me know ASAP. As mentioned in this thread they are Yokohama S.Drives. I'm willing to let them go for 1k, with free delivery to Sydney or Canberra. Much cheaper than retail price...

Will be swapping them at a tyre shop this weekend if no one is interested anyway, so either way it will work out ok. Just thought I would put the offer up here anyway in case anyone was interested in some quality tyres for cheap

Haha dammn, smaller tyres to get a lower stance!! Major negative camber next??

Car looks good though. Any pics of the skid plate? I want to see gouging and deep scratches!

Plenty of camber on the rears at the moment. I kind of like that look though so it's all good :p

Smaller tyres will help inner guard clearance at the front and will also give me more room in the rear to go lower (I have some secret plans lol). The 215s are 12mm in diameter smaller than 235s, so that's already 6mm of extra lowering right there without touching the suspension at all.

When I was running 225/45/17s the ground clearance beneath the skid plate was just 40mm. Plenty of gouging was going on for sure! I'll take some pics on the weekend.

Price update on the tyres: $800... Cheap!

becareful how low you'll go as you will cause some nice damage underneath if you hit anything ..

will the offset of your wheels still hit on lock from being so low though? as tyres fair enough to get them in further but sometimes will still hit! looks great but becareful and defectable too as they are cracking down unfortunately these days argh
    What’s behind you doesn’t matter..
