    Power steering hose

I just blew a steering hose on my .:r32, I do t have tools on me but it looks like the hose has been rubbing and has caused it to blow. I just need to take the battery harness and whatnot out to get to it, correct?

Fear not ahha. i got my stuff together now (out of my state of panic ) and got the hose off; will be repaired monday when i get it fixed and pick up some power steering fluid from VW.

Should I maybe clean my brake rotors in case of power steering fluid spraying onto them??

Yeah, monday morning it will be fixed! ahah.
Yeah it was rubbing on a sharp edge of the engine.

Clean rotors or not bother? Whats the best product to clean them with, i assume you can buy some kind of brake cleaner?

Don't bother cleaning the rotors, they just rust up again real fast (just surface rust, because the rotors are made of a mild steel). The pads clean them pretty quick on the first few applications.

The calipers will eventually get dirty again if you clean them - they cop a constant load of brake dust. That said, I'm about to give mine another going over...
    Nothing to see here...
