    Passenger window fell into door

So my friend had his arm Leaning out the window and when I went to close the window it hit his arm. When I went to close the window again it moved a little but then stopped. As we tried to close the window it somehow popped out and now is in my door. Anyone know how to fix this?

Take doorskin off find out which bit broke and fix it.
Possibly the glass has come out of track

the doorskin is the outside metal cover to the door - I'd be leaving that in place.

with the inside trim off have a look and see what you can find - window may simply have jumped out of the track as suggested. There are plenty of cables and bits in there, so something there may have come undone. Also check the mechanism that holds the window channel, these can fail as well.
If all else fails, take some pics and post them here

Once you've removed the door cards, you'll see the doorskin which you may need to remove - this video gives you an idea of what you're dealing with window track wise.

Both mine have inner skins as well, accessible from the inside and held on with Pop rivets

Should be a lot of 10mm bolts holding the metal plate inside the door.

The problem will be the window regulator, and its plastic parts.
There is a great DIY here VWVortex.com - DIY - Replacing the front door window regulator clips and/or door lock module
Get the kit from VW, about $120, then spend the better part of 3hrs fixing it.

Hey mate this is very common. Go to your local dealer and ask them for. Window repair kit, it has everything you need in there and is not very expensive. The mk4 window tracks were always a problem but fixed with this repair kit....

You may find you need the kit not just the clip as the control wire will probably have made a complete mess inside the rollers etc.

Search for "mk4 golf window regulator"
Remember that Drivers side is LEFT pretty much everywhere except AUS and UK.
