If you can live without a window for a while Ebay is the way to go.

MK5 Jetta Turbo - Sold
MK5 Jetta 2.Slow - Until it dies.
Sorry for bringing up an old thread.. But would anyone have a link to the repair kit on eBay? Not sure what to search for. This just happened to me lol
You may find you need the kit not just the clip as the control wire will probably have made a complete mess inside the rollers etc.
Search for "mk4 golf window regulator"
Remember that Drivers side is LEFT pretty much everywhere except AUS and UK.

my passenger window dropped in to my door but the cable had snapped , i got a brand new reg from power windows plus in southport on the gold coast but they will post any where in aus , has the metal clips for window instead of plastic , was about $150-$160 you just drill out the rivits for you old mech the new one come with bolt and its good to go , haven't had a problem with mine works better then it ever has
Try powerwin.com.au they are at banyo qld and do all sorts of power window stuff. well priced too
Sweet. Not as expensive as I thought it was and in aus as well. I'll have a look at both. Cheers
