Orange Dash Light of Car and Key. Immobiliser Problem?

Just check with dealer parts department...i did one last week on a passat and had to order the whole barrel cut with key from germany as unable to order the reader seperate.....VDUB....

Sorry mate im not sure...just fitted the part given...was off the road for 2 weeks waiting parts....just check as golf may be different to passat and might get it seperate then it would just be plug and play...readers dont need to be coded as it just relays the signal from key to immobilize....
