m experiencing random flashes of the oil light coming on flashing red... it flashed for abit then goes off.. about every once a weekk..

i have no idea wat the problem is.. the oil is at a good height... no leaks anywhere.. i dont know wats the problem is... and i dont know whether i should be driving it either..

any ideas... if the car wasnt getting any oil would the light stay on?? or does it flash red n go away like it has been
