225/45R17s are quite expensive as they're a relatively uncommon fitment in the market here. 235/45R17 tyres are more common (common fitment on Falcon XR6 / Commodore SV6 for instance), and are a damned sight cheaper than their 225 width equivelent, and I've found that they've actually made my speedo more accurate (as compared to GPS) due to the very slightly higher rolling diameter.

On 7" wide wheels I'd be cautious of going any bigger than 215 or 225, but on 7.5" wheels, 235 width is perfectly fine.
Can anyone post pics of 235/45R17 as opposed to 225/45R17 - I'm currently running the latter and would be interested to see the difference.

Manaz - were the pics you posted of your Bora sitting on your drive a while back 235's then?

    Cheers,

    Lachlan.

Will grab a pic tomorrow - the earlier pics were of 225/45R17 tyres.
    Nothing to see here...

That would be great - thanks.

    Lachlan.

Edit: Any news on that pic Manaz?
