Good posts by people but really need to know wheel offsets. Looking for new wheels for mine but struggling to work out what is best offset depending on wheel width.
Fuzion, what offset are those wheels?

Car: VW Bora V6 4motion
Wheels: Miro STP-1
Front: 18x8.5 et25 (after 5mm spacer) 225/40/18
Rear: 18x10 et15 (after 10mm spacer) 235/40/18
Fenders Rolled: Yes
Fenders Pulled: Rears only
Camber: Natural 4motion rear camber when it's lowered //----\\
Suspension: KW V1 with rear perches and adjusters removed
Notes: Obviously would look better dumped but this was the lowest I was prepared to go for a daily. Rear had a bit too much poke. Spacers were smallest I could use for the wheels to clear calipers, no problems hitting the strut with standard offsets.

Car: VW Bora 2lt FWD
Wheels: Audi A8 Flat5s
Front: 18x8.5 et30 (after 15mm adapter) 215/40/18
Rear: 18x8.5 et25 (after 20mm adapter) 215/40/18
Fenders Rolled: Yes
Fenders Pulled: No
Camber: Rear has additional 1deg each side (approx 2.5deg each side total)
Suspension: TA Technix. Helpers out in the front. adjusters, perch, and bush all still in the rear.
Notes: Perfect daily spec... proper sized and legal fitment, wheels would have sat inside the guards if my rear beam was centred (is now), looked like factory wheels.
Would have loved to go lower but rubbing the drivers side driveshaft on the body and wouldnt have lowered the rear anymore without the front going down because cars should have rake

Car: VW Bora 2lt FWD
Wheels: Genuine BBS LMs
Front: 19x8.5 et30 (after 25mm adapter) 215/35/19
Rear: 19x10 et32 (after 20mm adapter) 235/35/19
Fenders Rolled: No
Fenders Pulled: No
Camber: Rear has additional 1deg each side (approx 2.5deg each side total)
Suspension: TA Technix. Helpers out in the front. adjusters, perch, and bush all still in the rear and wound up 10mm.
Notes: Had these on at too stages, most of the photos are from GAF11 are with the arches unrolled and rear wound up 10mm
then back it up for Nats12 with the fronts rolled and rears wound down. made for fun times with 4 people in the car..
again, would have loved more lows but the front driveshaft was in the way.
the later photos:

Car: VW Bora 2lt FWD
Wheels: Custom Teledials
Front: 18x8.5 et30 (after 20mm adapter) 215/40/18
Rear: 18x9 et30 (after 15mm adapter) 225/40/18
Fenders Rolled: No
Fenders Pulled: No
Camber: Rear has additional 1deg each side (approx 2.5deg each side total)
Suspension: TA Technix. Helpers out in the front. adjusters, perch, and bush all still in the rear.
Notes: Had these on at too stages again, early stages car was a bit higher and didnt have extra camber (Nationals 2011)
then the car was lowered all round and the shims were left in after the LMs. Arches were also rolled in recent times.
Will be improving the specs shortly
for reference, this is what a 215/40/18 looks like on a 8.5 and a 225/40/18 on a 9.
these fitments meet the manufactures spec believe it or not.

Car: VW Bora 2lt FWD
Wheels: BBS RS
Front: 17x7 et20 (after 20mm adapter and 5mm spacer) 195/45/17
Rear: 17x9 et20 (after 15mm adapter) 205/45/17
Fenders Rolled: No
Fenders Pulled: No
Camber: None
Suspension: TA Technix.
Notes: My first real crack at fitment. not great, but have to start somewhere.
195/45 is WAY to small in profile for the height of the car or even a slammed mk4.

Nope. Had no problems at all with a staggered setup.
Have a read of this thread: http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/foru...ion-60616.html
Basically widths and offsets don't affect the Haldex in the 4motion as the Haldex just cares about wheel slippage. Rolling circumference of the tyre is what can throw it off, although the Haldex controller is programmed to accept variable rolling circumferences and deal with it. On one forum someone said (don't quote me on this) that the maximum difference is 4% which is a pretty huge difference anyway.
In terms of increasing the rear track more than the front I honestly didn't pay attention so can't answer that.
