O2 sensor replacement cost, yay or nay?

hey guys, i was told by gorells in geelong today the price including parts n labor to replace the O2 sensor is $350, thats for the bosch sensor and 2 hours fitment.

is this good, bad or alright?

btw i was told an O2 sensor runs somewhere around $120 so that would leave $230 in labour, 115 an hour seems a bit steep to me?

Very much depends on the sensor, fore or aft cat big difference, and car really.
2hrs labour is a bit out the way mind you unless for some amazing reason they already know its seized. Then get a small cup of brake fluid onto it, go for smoko, come back and it will unscrew ftw.
    cheers

Highway VW at QLD is about to charge me $460 to get mine changed... but I've already paid $135 for diagnostics today, which adds up to be around $600 in total.

Shall I get other local mechanics to replace instead?
