    No reverse lights

Took my new GTI for a minor service and general inspection, turns out the reverse lights aren't working.... only had a rwc a week ago.

Apparently bulbs, switch and fuse aren't the culprits.

    Any ideas?

It would suck if it was the wiring "somewhere"

I would have said it would be the switch on the gear box but apparently not. You sure all the groundings are good? Loose earth would cause dramas. Scan it?

Was this checked by using a multimeter at various points or just swapping stuff over?
The multimeter can really narrow down where the problem is.

The car is going into the Auto electrician tomorrow...

Everything i.e. switch, bulbs etc tested normal/functioning, but the power is not getting to the lights. Will know more tomorrow.

    Good stuff.

Last time my aircon didn't work my mechanic searched for many hours over the span of a few days until he found it. He only charged me for a couple of hours though.

Shoulda gone straight to an auto electrician though.
