no go low beam

hey guys,
got a problem with my daughters mk4 golf.
both low beam lights have stopped working, hi beams work,fogs work, globes look ok and fuses look ok.
anyone any ideas?

i'm thinking thinking the same...switch seems"solid" so i'm guessing there is a relay somewhere...but both? one relay for both low beam?

I'd be leaning towards the switch or the contacts on the high/low function. Do the bulbs work in another vehicle or when power is supplied on low beam? One relay can run both lights. I have a similar problem in a non VW, $295 for the light switch.

ok... so i'm a dummy.
both globes were blown.
but in my defence, and kinda weird, they didn't look "typically blown".
live and learn....most obvious/likely wins again.
