hey guys im new to the forums and to VW's. Ive just purchased a year 2000 MkIV bora v5 2.3l not too long ago. ive been reading up on the v5's and discovered that there are actually two versions: one that has 110kw and the other which is 125kw? ive also discovered that there are not very much ways in which the v5 can be tuned to enhance its performance. can anyone comfirm what v5 engine i have in my bora (110kw or 125kw) and does anyone have any sugestions about how the v5's performance can be enhanced. my buget at the moment is about $1500-2000 but will go up once kevin rudd sends me my $900, thanks in advance.

Update location and we need your engine number, which you will find on the white sticker in your boot or service book

I think your Bora is the 110kw model.
The 125 kw model was an upgrade on later models.

I reckon the later one has 4 valves/cylinder, like the 4 motion.

ive been doin some further reading and found out that the the 125kw v5 engine wasnt introduced untill 2001, so that means i must have the 110kw version, ill confirm that when i go and and check the sticker in the boot tomorrow (thanks for the help on sugesting where i can confirm this). As for performance modifications, does anyone have any sugestions? everything seems to be suited for the 4 cylinder or the vr6 boras
